Brittney Diffiné, PA-C
A physician assistant practicing hormone, metabolic and performance medicine by telehealth for California residents. Former high level athlete. The reason this practice exists is that she wanted to work the way she thought medicine should be practiced, and could not do it inside a fifteen minute appointment.

My philosophy
I am a board certified physician assistant with a background in functional and integrative medicine, and a lifelong belief that the human body is capable of far more than we are usually taught to expect.
As a former high level athlete I know what it is to push a body, respect it, break it down and rebuild it stronger. That shapes how I practice. I want to help people become the strongest, healthiest version of themselves, and not only on the outside. Physical performance and long term health are the same project.
I also believe most people are doing their best in conditions that work against them. Modern life is hard on human biology, nutritionally, hormonally, metabolically and mentally, and a lot of people are compensating quietly just to get through a normal day without realizing that is what they are doing. My approach is to work with the body's physiology rather than override it, and to reach for natural and sustainable options first where that is reasonable.
I am a strong advocate for women's health, an area that has been overlooked, understudied and minimized for a long time. Women are still told that fatigue, pain, hormonal chaos and loss of strength are simply normal. They deserve better information and better outcomes than that. Strength training, proper fueling, hormonal balance and metabolic health are not about appearance. They are tools for longevity, for pain reduction, for confidence, and for the quality of the next thirty years.
What I am trying to build here is care that feels thoughtful, collaborative and clear. Not volume medicine. Not the same protocol handed to everybody who walks in with the same complaint. Precision care that changes as you do.
Root cause wellness, redefined
How the practice works
Emerald Precision Health was built on a belief that is easy to say and hard to schedule: healthcare should be personal, intentional, and rooted in understanding the whole person rather than managing a list of symptoms. In a system driven by volume and speed, this practice was designed to slow down enough that people are actually heard.
Care is guided by a root cause framework grounded in evidence based, functional medicine principles. That means taking the time to see the full picture, labs, lifestyle, history and goals, before deciding anything. Medications and advanced therapeutics are used intentionally when they are appropriate, inside a strategy aimed at long term health rather than a short term fix.
It should feel empowering rather than overwhelming. The plan evolves as your body does, and you should understand why every part of it is there.
What that means in practice
Four commitments
One clinician, start to finish
The person who evaluates you is the person who treats you and the person you see at follow up. There is no handoff to whoever is on shift.
Testing that earns its place
Panels are chosen after your consult, for your situation. Nothing is ordered so it can appear on a marketing page.
Straight answers about evidence
Where the evidence is strong you will hear that. Where a therapy is used off label or is not well studied, you will hear that too, before you decide.
Cash pay, so the hour is real
No insurance billing is what makes a 60 minute first visit possible. Prices are published and ongoing costs are quoted before anything is charged.
